14. Agreement to Terms
By registering for the Summit or purchasing access, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
15. Continuing Education Units (CEU) Terms
These BCBA Continuing Education Terms apply to the purchase and completion of continuing education offered by Autism Parenting Magazine Limited in connection with the Autism Parenting Summit and any related online continuing education products.
Where these Continuing Education Terms conflict with the general refund provisions elsewhere in these Terms & Conditions, these Continuing Education Terms will apply specifically to purchases of CEU access, except where otherwise required by applicable law.
15.1 ACE Provider Information
Continuing education events identified as eligible for BACB Learning Continuing Education are provided by:
ACE Provider Name: Autism Parenting Magazine Limited
Provider Type: Organization
ACE Provider Number: OP-26-12756
Renewal Date: July 31, 2027
ACE Coordinator: Jody Rumph, BCBA
ACE Coordinator contact: [email protected]
You can confirm our current ACE Provider status at any time using the BACB's ACE Provider Verification Registry.
Autism Parenting Magazine Limited is an Authorized Continuing Education (ACE) Provider authorized to offer Learning continuing education to eligible BCBA® and BCaBA® certificants.
Authorization as an ACE Provider does not mean that the Behavior Analyst Certification Board® (BACB®) has reviewed, approved, accredited, or endorsed the Autism Parenting Summit, individual presentations, speakers, or any particular continuing education event.
15.2 CEU Eligibility
BACB Learning CEUs offered through the Autism Parenting Summit are intended solely for eligible BCBA® and BCaBA® certificants.
CEU-eligible sessions are designed for professional behavior analysts who have already completed bachelor's-level (BCaBA) or master's-level (BCBA) coursework in behavior analysis.
RBT® certificants cannot earn professional development units by attending Learning CE events.
Purchase of CEU access does not automatically entitle a participant to CEUs or a certificate. Participants must successfully satisfy all applicable completion, participation, and knowledge assessment requirements for each CEU-eligible session.
Participants are responsible for determining whether a continuing education event meets their individual certification, recertification, licensing, employer, or other professional requirements.
15.3 CEU-Eligible Sessions and CEU Values
Only sessions expressly identified by us as CEU-eligible qualify for Learning/General CEUs.
The applicable sales page, course page, event page, or other CEU information will state the number and type of CEUs available.
Before you register, the applicable sales page, course page or event page will state: the number of Learning CEUs available; how many of those fall within the Ethics or Supervision subcategories, if any; the learning objectives for the session; the instructor's qualifications and expertise in the subject; and any affiliations with companies, products or services featured during the session.
Access to other Autism Parenting Summit presentations, recordings, memberships, Lifetime Access content, or resources does not automatically qualify for CEUs.
15.4 Completion and Participation Requirements
Participants must complete all requirements specified for each CEU-eligible event or session before CEUs may be awarded.
Depending on the format of the event, these requirements may include:
- completing the required instructional content;
- satisfying applicable participation or attendance requirements;
- completing knowledge-check or quiz questions;
- completing required active-response activities;
- completing an event evaluation or feedback requirement; and
- satisfying any other completion requirements communicated for the applicable CEU event.
The following do not, by themselves, establish successful completion: purchasing CEU access; opening or streaming a presentation; the amount of time logged in to the platform; registration or attendance records alone; a code word given during a recording; or a written statement from the participant confirming they engaged with the content.
We reserve the right to verify completion using available platform, attendance, assessment, participation, or other relevant records.
CEU completion period: For each CEU-eligible session, you have 30 calendar days from the date that session becomes available to you to complete its required content, quizzes, and other completion requirements. If the session is already available when you purchase it, the 30-day period begins on your purchase date. After the applicable deadline, you can no longer complete outstanding requirements or earn CEUs for that session under that purchase, unless we extend the deadline or applicable law requires otherwise. CEUs earned before the deadline and certificates issued for them are unaffected.
15.5 Certificates
Where a participant satisfies the applicable requirements and completion has been verified, we will issue CEU documentation within 45 days of the event. Your certificate will include your name and BACB certification number, the completion date, our ACE Provider name and number, the ACE Coordinator's name, the session title, the instructor's name, the event modality, and the number of Learning CEUs.
Participants are responsible for providing accurate information for their CE documentation, including their full name and any certification information requested by us.
Participants should contact our support team promptly if information appearing on their certificate is incorrect.
Replacement certificates: if you lose your documentation, you may request a replacement from us at any time up to three years after the event.
Participants are responsible for retaining their CE documentation and reporting their continuing education to the BACB or any other applicable certification or licensing body.
15.6 CEU Refund Policy
CEU purchases are subject to the refund terms in this section rather than any general 30-day money-back guarantee that may apply to other Autism Parenting Summit, Lifetime Access, course, or Autism Learning Network products, unless the CEU offer expressly states otherwise.
After CEU Completion or Certificate Issuance
Except where required by applicable law, CEU purchases are non-refundable once the participant has successfully completed the applicable CEU requirements and a CEU certificate has been issued.
Once a certificate has been issued, the continuing education service is considered completed and the participant has received the professional continuing education benefit purchased.
A participant may not obtain CEU credit or a CEU certificate and subsequently request a refund merely because they no longer require the CEUs, have changed their mind, or later determine that the CEUs are not needed for their individual certification or professional requirements.
Where we do issue a refund after a certificate has been issued, because the law requires it or as an approved exception, we may treat that certificate as void, notify you in writing, and ask you not to submit it to the BACB or to withdraw it if you already have.
15.7 Refunds and Other Remedies
We may issue a refund, replacement access, correction, or other appropriate remedy in circumstances including:
duplicate purchases or duplicate charges;
- a payment or purchasing error attributable to us;
- a verified technical failure on our systems that materially prevents the participant from accessing or completing the purchased CEU content and cannot reasonably be resolved;
- the cancellation of CEU-eligible content by us without a reasonable replacement;
- an error that results in the participant receiving a materially different CEU product from the one purchased; or
- circumstances where a refund or other remedy is required by applicable law.
Where a technical issue can reasonably be corrected by restoring access, extending access, correcting participant information, reissuing a certificate, or providing another appropriate remedy, we may offer that remedy instead of a refund where permitted by law.
15.8 Digital Content and Immediate Access
Where CEU content is supplied digitally and immediate access is made available following purchase, participants may be asked at checkout to expressly consent to receiving access or beginning performance during any applicable statutory cancellation period.
Where required by applicable law, participants will also be asked to acknowledge that beginning the supply of digital content or completion of the service may affect or result in the loss of their statutory right to cancel.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any cancellation, refund, repair, replacement, repeat-performance, price-reduction, or other consumer right that cannot legally be excluded.
15.9 Incorrect Participant Information
Participants are responsible for ensuring that the name, email address, BACB certification information, and other information submitted for CEU purposes are accurate.
An incorrect name, certification number, email address, or similar participant error does not automatically entitle the participant to a refund.
Where reasonably possible, we will correct participant information and reissue the relevant CEU documentation.
15.10 Individual Certification Requirements
Participants are responsible for understanding their own BACB certification and recertification requirements.
We do not guarantee that every CEU purchased will satisfy every participant's individual certification, licensing, employer, jurisdictional, or professional requirements.
A participant's failure to determine their individual CE requirements before purchasing or completing a CEU event does not, by itself, create an entitlement to a refund.
15.11 Technical Requirements
Participants are responsible for maintaining a compatible device, supported web browser, reliable internet connection, and other technology reasonably necessary to access online CEU content.
Problems caused solely by a participant's internet connection, device, browser, email configuration, or other equipment outside our reasonable control do not automatically qualify for a refund.
Participants experiencing technical difficulties should contact our support team promptly so that we have a reasonable opportunity to investigate and resolve the issue.
15.12 Event or Session Changes
We may make reasonable changes to CEU events when necessary, including changes to instructors, schedules, publication dates, presentation arrangements, or delivery methods.
Where a material change prevents us from providing the CEU product purchased, we may provide replacement CEU content, alternative access, account credit, or a refund, as appropriate and subject to applicable law.
15.13 CEU Complaints
If you have a concern about a CEU session, a completion decision, a CEU certificate, or any other ACE-related matter, you must first submit your complaint in writing to our ACE Coordinator. We will review and respond. If your complaint is not sufficiently resolved by the ACE Coordinator, you may submit a Notice of Alleged Violation (NAV) against the ACE Coordinator to the BACB, in line with the BACB's published procedures.
ACE-related concerns will be reviewed by the ACE Coordinator. Information regarding how to contact the ACE Coordinator will be made available to CEU participants.
15.14 Statutory Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Continuing Education Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any statutory consumer right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Where applicable consumer law provides a participant with rights that are more favorable than these contractual terms, those statutory rights will apply.
15.15 Event Feedback
We will give every CEU participant the opportunity to submit written evaluative feedback about the session within 14 days of the event. We will review the feedback, share it with the applicable instructor within 45 days, and take any necessary action in response to the feedback.
15.16 Records, Verification and BACB Audits
We keep records relating to CEU events - including attendance and participation records, assessment results, copies of certificates issued, and participant feedback - for at least three years from the date of the event.
The BACB may audit ACE Providers at any time and may request these records, attend sessions, or require access to session content at no charge. By purchasing CEU access, you acknowledge that your participation and completion records, including your name and BACB certification number, may be provided to the BACB for these purposes. We handle this information in line with our Privacy Policy.
